In a big administrative overhaul in Madhya Pradesh post Lok Sabha election results, 37 IPS and 29 IAS officers were transferred. The decision was taken by the Kamalnath government after Congress poor show in recent Lok Sabha polls. Congress was reduced to just one seat as BJP swept the state with rest of the 28 seats in the state. The results came across as a shock to Congress, as Jyotiraditya Scindia, projected as popular choice for CM candidate in run-up to assembly elections last year, also lost from Gwalior seat.
